This trip was prompted by Ricky's strong desire to work and travel in South America. After convincing his loving wife Jamie, it was only a matter of when and where they would go. The possibility for working in Argentina first arose while Ricky was completing his final year of graduate school at Cornell University. There, he met Francisco Calabi, a gentleman touring the states for information about vermicomposting and vermicompost extracts. Ricky continued conversations with Francisco, developing projects, and finally it was decided that they would work together at Laguna Blanca, a farm located in the Entre Rios Providence of Argentina. Upon completion of his thesis defense, a few mighty yardsales, and moving the rest of their belongings into a 10x10 storage space, Jamie and Ricky packed their bags, said see you later to the wonderful city of Ithaca, NY, and moved to Argentina on June 15, 2012.

This website was designed to share information with family and friends of Ricky and Jamie - the farm where they live, daily routines, work responsibilities, travel, climate, environment, etc. They hope you enjoy reading just as much as they have enjoyed sharing. Follow the links below for more information.
